A vital role

Trusts and Foundations play a vital role in supporting the work of Welsh National Opera and we value the support we receive.

In the past Trusts and Foundations have supported main scale productions, special projects and provided general support to the company’s ongoing work.

In the last year support from Trusts and Foundations have directly supported the company to:

  • Provide 200 children with the opportunity to develop their own song cycle in Birmingham
  • Undertake a new three-year programme of transformational work in the South Wales Valleys and Cardiff Bay to rediscover singing traditions
  • Stage a new production of Rossini's Cinderella (La Cenerentola)Assemble 63 people to form a community choir that performed on stage alongside Welsh National Opera’s Chorus in Aida.
